Until 22 March 2025: Monday-Saturday, 10am - 3pm 
The outdoor sites close at 2.30pm

October half-term: 26 Oct - 2 Nov inclusive, Mon-Sat, 10am - 4pm
Winter closure: 1  December 2024 - 5 January 2025 inclusive

We are currently offering free admission due to ongoing maintenance and the closure of the Roman Gallery. Donations very welcome.

Due to major roadworks on Buddle Street, we would advise that you allow extra time if driving to Segedunum. 

We are fully booked for school workshops during autumn term 2024 and are now taking bookings for January 2025 onwards. 

Areas open to the public: Reception and Shop on the ground floor; the Viewing Tower on Level 9; the exhibition space on Level 2; and the Fort site. 

Museum entry fees

Day ticket:

Due to ongoing maintenance work and limited access to certain areas of the Museum, we are currently offering reduced admission. 
Adults: £3.98* | £2.98* Concessions
* includes £1 voluntary donation 

Young people aged 21 years and under: FREE 
North Tyneside residents with an NE28 postcode: FREE
Pre-booking not required

Make your visit a great value day out by travelling to Segedunum by Metro - nearest station is Wallsend. Up to three children aged 11 and under can travel for free on the Metro with a fare-paying adult.
