Take the Metro

Make your visit a great value day out by travelling to our venues by Metro. Up to three children aged 11 and under can travel for free on the Metro and the Shields Ferry when accompanied by a fare-paying adult. Save on adult Metro fares too by using Pop Pay As You Go - prices are capped at £2 for single trips and £4 for all day travel.

Segedunum is a three minute walk away from Wallsend Metro Station.

From Newcastle city centre, take the Metro from Monument or St. James to the coast via Wallsend.

Catch the bus

From Newcastle city centre, take the Stagecoach service 22 (stops on Clayton Street, Grainger Street and Market Street) to Wallsend Metro Station. It is then a three minute walk to Segedunum.

The nearest bus station is on Wooley Street next to the Metro station. Five minutes walk from the museum.
